As part of a project for ABB, Phoenix Electric recently designed, engineered, manufactured, and installed advanced switchgear controls for medium- and high-voltage gas insulated switchgear at the Chief Joseph Dam on the Columbia River in Oregon. The dam which provides electric power to 4 western states is being retrofit with state-of-the-art technology to meet the increasing power demands of industry and residents of the Pacific Northwest.
